Founded on April 6, 2017, the Association of Biology Educators (ABE) is a non-profit organization dedicated to enhancing biology education in Uganda. As a leading provider of life science education support services, ABE empowers teachers, students, and institutions to foster excellence in biology learning.

With countrywide membership comprising secondary science educators, ABE provides resources, training, and networking opportunities for teachers and learners, ensuring they are well-equipped to meet the evolving needs of society.

 Objectives

a) To monitor and evaluate policies, programmes and projects in science education, and advise accordingly on improvement, reorientation or discontinuation of the evaluated intervention or policy.

b) To conduct research on science education in furtherance of the Association's purposes.

c) To improve the 21st Century skills of science educators through information sharing, collaboration and innovative teaching to promote inclusive, equitable, quality Biology education and lifelong learning for all students.

d) To collaborate with Organizations, Institutions, Ministries and Agencies with a stake in science education to promote inclusive, equitable, quality science education and lifelong learning.
